About me

I soon became a member of staff doing home sits to allow parents time out in addition to the Holiday Activity Programme.
I continued to do this while studying at college for my HNC in Early Education and childcare. Soon after I qualified, I was offered a job at Beatlie School in Livingston which caters for children with severe and profound disabilities.
I have worked with a variety of children including a class for children with autism where I have spent the last 5 years.

I took a year out in 2010 when my son was born and this is what inspired me to take steps towards starting my childminding career.
All I have ever wanted to do is work with children and have my own, so by becoming a childminder, I can do both.

I am 31 years old and have lived in the Armadale and Bathgate area all of my life. I have an older sister, and a younger brother who has special needs. It was this that sparked my interest in children, especially those with disabilities.

I have over 15 years experience working with children of all ages and abilities. I am a registered Nursery Nurse and worked at Beatlie School in Livingston from 2005 until 2012. I have an HNC in Early Years Education and Childcare, and have attended training courses in Child Protection, Food Hygiene and First Aid. When I was 15 and still at school, I volunteered during the holidays at Barnardos Holiday Activity Programme for children with disabilities. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the children and helping them to have a fun filled day.
